Thirteen buildings of Osaka Castle, including the Ote-mon Gate, Senkan Yagura, and the Flame Glass Storehouse, have been designated as important cultural assets. The museum exhibits items related to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, a warlord, and other documents from the Warring States period and Osaka Castle. Osaka Castle Park is one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in the Kansai region, with approximately 3,000 cherry trees planted in the park. In particular, you can enjoy the illuminated night-time cherry blossoms in the Nishinomaru Garden. There are also sports-related facilities nearby, including the Osaka Castle Music Hall, Osaka Castle Hall, an archery hall and the Shudo Kan. There are also a number of events, such as planting fairs in spring and autumn and the Nishi-no-Maru Garden Cherry Blossom Viewing Night.
