Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine is a must-see sightseeing spot when visiting Kamakura. The Hachimangu Shrine, founded in 1191 by Minamoto no Yoritomo, enshrines three deities, Emperor Ojin, Empress Jingu, and Himejin, and its solemn appearance is a true symbol of Kamakura. Since they are gods of victory and battle, they are believed to bring good luck for victory and work. Komachi-dori Street, which connects Kamakura Station to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, is a popular area for sightseeing in Kamakura and cannot be missed for shopping.
